We are currently looking to hire Sous Chef to join our team at at Beef & Lobster Dublin 2. We seek a candidate who is Honest, Consistent and Passionate and takes pride in a job well done.
Role Requirements:
• To lead a kitchen and be passionate about training junior members of the team
• To make sure all food is up to standard in keeping with the set guidelines
• Ensure kitchen is kept to a high level of cleanliness
• To be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen while coordinating with the front of house team and Head Chef
• Enforcement of health and safety standards within the kitchen
• To be able to stand over the quality of every plate of food leaving the kitchen
• Assist Head Chef in managing all aspect of the kitchen
• To deputise in the absence of the Head Chef
• Responsible for maintaining food standards
• Co-responsibility for maintaining agreed labour & food costs
• Co-ordinate rosters & stocktakes
• Manage & control a busy kitchen
• Menu planning & execution
• Constant upkeep of HACCP within the kitchen
• Purchasing & stock control
• To oversee that food is executed as agreed with Head Chef and Senior Management
